Dear friends family and supporters of Cross Culture Ministries,
As you may know Darrell and I are serving on the mission field in Davao Mindanao Philippines. The ministry missions goal is to "Reach, Teach and Mobilize". CCM is a non profit organization in Canada and its foundation began 27 years ago with the Ron and Bernice Nelson at the helm.
We love, honor and thank them for their faith in God, their hearts for missions, and their desire to see the lost saved. It is our commitment to carry this forward.
In January 2009 of this year God spoke to Darrell and I to give two years of our lives to the Philippines, we felt that this would be an adequate amount of time to develop the horse ministry along with constructing the necessary facilities we would need to train, care and protect the horses before they are given to tribal pastors. Along with this commissioning from the Lord and our local church we also believe that God has called us to inspire believers in their walk with God, motivate one another to good works, train believers by using effective evangelism, equip the saints with the word of God to be effective soldiers ready to do tear down the works of the enemy and to mobilize Tribal Pastors by supporting them with horses to do the work of the Lord.
We believe that God has many good things in store for the work that needs to be done, and this cannot be done with out the prayers and support of believers back home and around the world. We are facing uncertain times and unpredictable futures economically but one thing we know for sure that God has not gone bankrupt, heaven does not have a foreclosure sign on it.
Just recently Darrell received notice from one of our largest clients, "We regret that due to budget constraints and a strong need to down-size, we need to centralize and source locally our IT solutions." As we are a tent making ministry here in the Philippines this has greatly effected our revenue to sustain ourselves here, but we know that God is our source. We are trusting that when God closes one door he will open another and that Gods work done Gods way will not lack Gods supply.
So where do we go from here?I asked the Lord this while we were driving today to do some errands?
Remarkably he answered and said " To Me".
So we are going to the Lord, being still and knowing that He is God. We know that God has called us here and that there is so much more to be done.
So you may ask, what can I do to be apart of supporting CCM?
As we pray and seek God for the answer, I believe that we are now at a place where God is calling us to go to the next level to start believing for monthly partners. By donating to CCM you are literally putting feet to your donations. Whether its a one time gift or a monthly pledge your gift will be blessing towards the work of the Lord here, and you will be helping Tribal Pastors to bring the Gospel to un reached tribal areas of the Philippines.

Special Visitor
What a blessing it was to have Ron Nelson ( my father in law and the founder of CCM) to come and visit us here in the Philippines. Ron was very busy with speaking engagements and spent 23 days with us at the property and ministry center where he had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of our Tribal Pastors Horsemanship training week. It was inspiring for us to see dads enthusiasm and love for Gods Word as he shared with the tribal pastors; and to see Ron move in the gifts of the spirit, as he took the opportunity to pray for a tribal couple who are have difficulties conceiving. Dads spiritual insight and his knowledge of horses and livestock are a definite asset to the ministry.
Darrell and Ron along with Pastor Blass delivered a bio water filter to Sister Pactol, which is a 3 hour drive with the jeep into the mountains. This blessing of receiving a bio water filter will greatly benefit the church along with others.
While they were there two of the tribal pastors that had received horses from our first Horsemanship training week arrived, what a joy it was for them to see dad and for them to be able to share how much they have benefited from the horses.
We were saddened to see dad leave back home to Canada, but understood that he was much needed as mom was missing him very much. Please continue to stand with us in prayer for mom ( Bernice) as she to goes for another biopsy on her lungs of a mass that appears to be growing, we are believing God for a total healing of her body and are trusting the Lord for a good report. I know mom values all your prayer and love.
Special Recognition
We would like to give a special thank you to the Ladies Bible study group of Princeton Pentecostal Tabernacle for their donations towards the stoves and outdoor kitchen that we were able to build. What a blessing to have this done in time for our last tribal horsemanship training, this has made it so much quicker, cleaner and easier for us. Previously we were using wood and charcoal to cook. What a blessing to know that there are people who care even about the practical part of this ministry.
We would also like to thank my (Shannon's) mom and my aunt for their donation towards helping outfit one of the Pastoral nipa huts. This donation will provide bunk beds, foams, and mosquito netting. What a wonderful way to honor these men and woman of God who are used to sleeping on mats on the floor, we are planning on having these built and delivered when we return at the end of the month. Please stand with us in prayer as we trust God will provide for the second Pastoral nipa hut.
A Special WordOn November 19th I posted this word from the Lord that was sent to me via email from Bill and Marsha Burns. I hope this encourages you as it did me.
"I am bringing a conclusion to various aspects of your circumstances, but be aware that getting to the final result will continue for a time to be a process. There are still things that need to be dealt with before the final summation. Move through this process with faith and confidence that I am doing a good work and the results will be well pleasing to you and to Me, says the Lord. Let Me move you in this conclusive flow."
Colossians 1:9-12
"Be assured that from the first day we heard of you, we haven't stopped praying for you, asking God to give you wise minds and spirits attuned to his will, and so acquire a thorough understanding of the ways in which God works. We pray that you'll live well for the Master, making him proud of you as you work hard in his orchard. As you learn more and more how God works, you will learn how to do your work. We pray that you'll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us." (The Message)
As we go through this process with faith and confidence we know that God is always doing a good work. Even when some days it feels painful, when we continue in every good work the results WILL BE pleasing, Not MAYBE but will be. Let this be your prayer for 2010, and remember were are all partakers of the inheritance.
Serving the Lord with joy, faith and expectancy,
Darrell & Shannon Nelson
